First Tenet

As adherents of Truth, we take the inspired Word of the Bible
as our sufficient guide to eternal Life.

Second Tenet

We acknowledge and adore one supreme and infinite God.
We acknowledge His Son, one Christ; the Holy Ghost or divine Comforter;
and man in God’s image and likeness.

Third Tenet

We acknowledge God’s forgiveness of sin in the destruction of sin
and the spiritual understanding that casts out evil as unreal.
But the belief in sin is punished so long as the belief lasts.

Fourth Tenet

We acknowledge Jesus’ atonement as the evidence of divine, efficacious Love,
unfolding man’s unity with God through Christ Jesus the Way-shower;
and we acknowledge that man is saved through Christ, through Truth, Life, and Love
as demonstrated by the Galilean Prophet in healing the sick and overcoming sin and death.

Fifth Tenet

We acknowledge that the crucifixion of Jesus and his resurrection
served to uplift faith to understand eternal Life, even the allness of Soul, Spirit, and the nothingness of matter.

Sixth Tenet

And we solemnly promise to watch, and pray for that Mind to be in us
which was also in Christ Jesus; to do unto others as we would have them do unto us;
and to be merciful, just, and pure.

“The time for thinkers has come.”

What is Christian Science?

Reading booksThe heart of Christian Science is Love. Christian Science is based on the practical application of the Bible in our daily lives, especially the healing works of Christ Jesus and the Apostles, and how these truths are relevant today.

BibleThe Bible and Science and Health together serve as pastor for Sunday church services and Wednesday testimony meetings at all Christian Science churches, societies, and informal groups worldwide. These books are available for purchase or study at our Reading Room.

Jesus said: “If ye continue in my works then are ye my disciples (students) indeed and ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.”

In Christian Science we learn of God’s deep and abiding love for us and how we can be free from anything that would try to separate us from that love.

All are welcome at our services. Our Sunday services are held at 10:30 a.m. Our Sunday School meets at the same time and welcomes students up to the age of 20.

Our Wednesday evening meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. After readings from the Bible and Science and Health, the congregation is invited to share testimonies of healings and remarks on Christian Science.

Our Church is located at 1114 Pickens Street (just off Gervais Street).
